In Palworld, there are more than 100 resources and crafting materials, and sulfur (Sulfur) is certainly one of the most important. In this guide, we show you where to find sulfur, how to mine it effectively, and what you can make from it.
Finding & Using Sulfur (TLDR)
Those looking to find and mine sulfur effectively in Palworld should stick to a specific region of the game world: Obsidian Mountain. This lava desert, complete with a gigantic volcano in the center, is located in the bottom left of the map. Around the volcano, you'll find numerous sulfur veins, which are particularly rich here. The following map marks the best places to find sulfur in the Obsidian Mountain region:
Once you've found one of the large sulfur deposits, you can start mining right away with your pickaxe and farm as much sulfur as your inventory can hold. If you're actually mining sulfur with your pickaxe, take a Pal with you that increases your carrying capacity. However, there are some much more efficient mining methods to quickly get sulfur.
The Best Mining Method: For mid- or late-game, especially base building, is a good tactic to generate an endless amount of sulfur:
Also add some Pals with the work suitability (ability) Transporting. Two level 1 transport Pals like Cattiva should be sufficient. As always, you can find all the Pals in our complete Paldeck. Your Pals will now mine all the deposits and store them. After a full in-game day has passed, the sulfur veins respawn, and your Pals start over. This is how you quickly farm a lot of sulfur in Palworld without lifting a finger.
Author's Tip: Decide at the beginning whether you want to farm sulfur, coal, or ore with this method. Only later in the game will you unlock more base slots. At the beginning of your journey, you only have two bases available.
Alternative for Early Game: If you've just built your first base and are getting used to the game, try one of the following solutions:
To mine sulfur as effectively as possible, you can share the actual farming with a Pal. Pals like Digtoise or Dumud autonomously mine ores, coal, and sulfur when you spawn them from your party. At the same moment, you can also work the rock with your pickaxe to maximize the amount of sulfur. A disadvantage is that both Dumud and Digtoise take quite a long time to generate even 1x sulfur.
You can earn higher amounts with Rushoar. You can ride Rushoar and use its charging ability to quickly farm several chunks of sulfur.
The advantage:
You have control over how much sulfur you mine right now. However, you can't quickly go for a little Pal-trainer meanwhile.
So far, sulfur is only needed for the construction of ammunition of any kind. Whether for pistols, rifles, or explosives. All types of ammunition are based on sulfur, from which you then produce gunpowder (Gun Powder). 1x Gunpowder is made as follows:
