In this guide we will show you how to find one of the most important raw materials, titanium, in Raft, what you need it for, and how to trade it.

What's it about? Titanium is necessary for tools, equipment and weapons in Raft. You also need it to produce the trading currency Trash Cubes. With this currency, you can buy new blueprints or simple consumables at the trading post. In order to be able to buy everything your raft heart desires, you will of course need to know where to find the titanium.

Find Titan in Raft with Metal Detector & Shovel

Where can you find titanium? You can find the raw material titanium ore on the randomly spawning islands during the treasure hunt. Not in the sea and not in story areas. With one exception, Balboa Island, where you will also find the blueprint for the machete. You'll then have to use the smelter to make a titanium ingot from the ore.

  • Small tropical and desert islands have a treasure spawn.
  • Large Tropical and Periwinkle Islands have two to three spawns.
  • Balboa Island even has up to 6 treasure spawns.

How does the treasure hunt work? In order for you to mine the titanium from the island's soils, you will need a metal detector and a shovel. You will find the blueprint for the detector during the story on Caravan Island. Once you have obtained and built it, you can start searching for titanium in Raft.

To do this, land on any island, equip the detector and walk around the island. If you are far away from a treasure, your metal detector will glow faintly red. The closer you get, however, the stronger the device will glow -- first yellow, then green. As soon as the detector reaches its maximum, you can start digging.

Loads of Titanium in secret treasure room on Tangora Island

How to get the Titanium: Besides searching with your metal detector, you can also find Titanium by solving a puzzle in Tangora. Tangora Island, just like Caravan Island, is a story location from the second chapter of the game. Just search for the "Storage Area" here and from here on to the "Plantation". The destination is a flooded room with colorful containers lying below the water surface. To find the Titan, you'll have to move some containers right away, and it goes like this:

  • Look around underwater and find the two containers blocking the entrance to the Loot Room.
  • Climb up the ladder that leads out of the water to a glowing console.
  • At the console, you can control a magnetic arm that can move the containers.
  • Move the first container one space backwards and then the second container. Boom: The way is already free.
