What do I need the flashlight for? As you have probably already noticed, there are numerous caves in Sons of the Forest that tempt you with loot. However, not only merciless darkness awaits you here, but also mutants and other dangers. The right lighting is therefore essential for your survival underground.
How do I find the flashlight? Fortunately, you don’t have to do much work to get the flashlight. In the west of the island you will find a river that leads from the coast to the interior. If you follow this river towards the snow-covered mountains in the middle of the island, you will find a camp about halfway north of the river, where several corpses lie. There you will also find an axe.
Near the camp is a cliff with another body dangling from a rope. The rope is knotted to a rock. Cut the rope with an axe so that the corpse falls to the ground. Walk along the cliff to the bottom (don’t jump down!) and collect the flashlight next to the corpse.
How do I use the flashlight? You can carry and use the flashlight normally as an item in addition to a weapon in your other hand. However, keep in mind that each use of the flashlight reduces its battery life. So you should use it wisely and carry some spare batteries with you if necessary.
