In Starfield, adhesive is a rare but crucial resource needed for creating weapon mods, among other things. Here’s how and where you can find adhesive.

Everything you need to know about Adhesive in Starfield (TLDR):

  • One way to get adhesive is by defeating Brainsprouts on Arcturus II.
  • Another fruitful method is harvesting freshwater cacti on Gagarin in the Alpha Centauri system.
  • Adhesive is also available for purchase, for instance, at Amoli Bava in New Atlantis.

Get Adhesive in Starfield

This rare material can be obtained in Starfield through three different methods; four, if you include using a cheat code for adhesive. Let’s look at each method in detail.

Farming Adhesive

One way to get adhesive in Starfield is by fighting Brainsprouts. For every Brainsprout you defeat, you'll receive a unit of adhesive. To find these creatures, head to the Arcturus system and visit the planet Arcturus II.

Adhesive can also drop from other enemies or be found in various containers. You have an equally good chance of getting it by harvesting freshwater cacti on the planet Gagarin in the Alpha Centauri system.

Buy Adhesive from Vendors

If you're not keen on battling Brainsprouts, you can simply buy your glue. Be aware, though, that merchant stocks change, and it's possible that a merchant who sold adhesive once might not have it the next time. Here are some merchants where you’re likely to find adhesive:

  • Amoli Bava in New Atlantis
  • UC Exchange in Cydonia
  • Jae Montreal in New Homestead
  • Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis

If your preferred merchant is out of adhesive or you've bought their entire stock, you can wait for three hours in a seating area, and the stock will automatically refresh.

Using a Cheat for Glue

Unfortunately, you can’t make adhesive yourself in Starfield. Sooner or later, however, you’ll need it for crafting mods for suits and weapons, as well as for creating items for your outposts, such as a workbench.

If you want to get adhesive by using a cheat code, you can do so with the code player.additem 000055B1 20 (to get 20 units of adhesive).
