Tower of Fantasy: "Road of Strife"-Event Explained

Since September 1st, 2022 there has been a new, time-limited event with "Road of Strife" in the anime MMO Tower of Fantasy, where you can get great rewards. Among other things, you can get Red Nucleus to buy the new Frigg banner or exchange the Mechbird mount. We'll tell you what you need to know about the event.

These are limited-time events: Limited-time events will be more common in Tower of Fantasy. Quite banal, but also some that fit current celebrations. Time-limited here simply means that they are only available for a certain time, often 2-3 weeks, and then disappear. But they come back every year for festive events.

This is the "Road of Strife"-Event in Tower of Fantasy

The new event is called Road of Strife and brings a new character to the world of Tower of Fantasy, Frigg, who we have only known as an opponent so far. The event runs for about 2 weeks and is divided into 3 phases.

The event at a glance:

• Event start on September 01, 2022 at 05:00 server time.
• Event ends on September 14, 2022 at 10:59 p.m. server time.
• Required level: 21.
• You need to be level 31 to complete all phases.

Since the event is divided into 3 phases and will be unlocked over time, we will update our article regularly and keep you up to date.

Phase 1: Stellarway Divergence

The first phase is available right from the start of the event and is similar to the always-active Interstellar Exploration challenge. Instead of blue gates, you can also find 6 red gates in the world, which are also displayed on your map.

These gates offer a great challenge in different forms and should ideally be completed together with other players:

• Defeat a Boss.
• Destroy 3 waves of Enemies, collect code and defuse a bomb, or interact with similar systems.

These are your rewards: For each completed Red Stargate in Stellarway Divergence, you will receive 300 Star Grit. You can collect a maximum of 1200 of them per day.

Stage 2: Orienteering

Orienteering is a simple race that you can take part in every hour between 12:00 and 23:00 server time. You only have 10 minutes to register for the race. The races always start at 12:10, 13:10, 14:10, etc.

To complete the race successfully, you have to drive through 17 checkpoints. The faster you are, the better your rank and ultimately your Star Grit reward. 1st place gets 1200 and even lower ranks still get 400 Star Grit as a participation reward.

Here's what to look out for: Even if the races are pretty easy, and you have a long time to finish a race, if you want to be first, you have to pay attention to the following things:

• Drive over blue arrows to get faster. The more arrows you take with you, the faster you become.
• Avoid red arrows that slow you down.
• Use ramps and jump through the circles, so your boost is high enough. Otherwise, you fall off the track and have to go back up.

Stage 3: Doubles Mega Arena

The Doubles Mega Arena is a 2v2 PVP battle where you team up with a friend or with a random person against 2 other players. This puts all players on the same level, so the battle is balanced:

• All base values ​​are adjusted
• Weapon and relic stats will be adjusted
• Upgrade and enhancement stats will also be equalized for all players
• Resonances, simulacra effects, and matrix effects are not available in the arena.
• All healing is reduced by 50% and Jetboards are not allowed.

The arena itself shrinks every 75 seconds, similar to a battle royale match. Anyone standing outside the arena will take damage. Fighting continues until one team is defeated or time is up.

• Winners receive 400 Star Grit
• Losers receive 200 Star Grit

That's the problem: In our rounds, we and apparently the other players had to struggle with severe lags. A reasonable fight was not possible, just buttons were pressed.

The lags are so bad that I wasn't able to take any action for a some time.

This is the Event Shop

You can exchange the collected Star Grit for various items in the event shop, the Aida Black Market. A part of the possible rewards will only be available with the 2nd phase of the event. In order to get the complete Mechbird as a mount, you need a total of 4000 Star Grit that you have quickly collected within the first 4 event days.
