As in Breath of the Wild, items in the new part will also break after a while. But don't worry, you can repair your weapons and shields in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and even improve them.

Here's the deal: If you hit too often with your weapons or block regularly with your shields, these items will eventually break. However, there is a way to repair your damaged weapons and shields in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There's even a chance that repairing them will give them a new strong modifier. In this guide, we'll explain exactly how you can repair your weapons and shields.

Repairing Weapons and Shields in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

To repair your equipment, you need to find an Oktorok. These are four-legged, spherical creatures with a tube-shaped mouths that they use to suck in your weapons and shields when you put them in front of them. The Oktorok repairs the weapon or shields inside and then hurls the item back at you.

The cool thing is: not only will the weapon or shield be repaired, but it will also have an additional modifier, for example, +10 Attack.
Tip: Save your score before repairing. After all, if you don't like the improvement you get, you can simply reload and try again.

As soon as you collect the repaired item, you have to kill the Oktorok. Otherwise, the repair will be gone again. Every Oktorok can only repair one item per blood moon phase. Legendary and unique items can not be repaired

Here you can find Oktoroks: Even though Oktoroks are relatively rare, there are several areas (especially around Death Mountain) where you can find these creatures.

You can find Oktoroks especially at Death Mountain.

You should definitely complete Robelo's quest, which will give you the Sensor Plus. To do this, travel to the Lookout Landing and talk to Robelo there to start the quest line for this. With the help of this sensor, you can track certain enemies and objects, including Oktoroks.
