There are over 150 shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, including the Mayak Shrine. This is one of the more tricky mini-dungeons in the game.
Here's the deal: Shrines are the only way to provide you with more stamina or extra hearts in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, you can also find valuable loot in them and use them as fast travel points once you've completed them. In this guide, we'll show you how to get through the Mayak Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom quickly and without problems and how to get the chest it contains.
If you don’t know exactly where to start looking, check out our interactive map or the guide to the locations of all shrines. If you are looking for a specific shrine, you can easily find it and other helpful guides in our sorted guide overview. |
Quite off the beaten path, in the very north of Hyrule, the Mayak Shrine is hidden. Head to the coordinates 1277, 3737, 0104 to find it.
Inside, it's all about the right timing. Run into the Mayak Shrine, and you'll come to a catapult platform that will launch you into the air. Use it to get to the next level to the left. On it lies a large sphere, which you have to lift into the track right next to it using Ultrahand.
As soon as you finish Ultrahand and the ball rolls down, you must fly back to the lower platform as fast as possible.
Watch the bullet run there and attack the pillar with your weapon very briefly before the bullet falls into the abyss. This triggers a mechanism that ensures that the ball lands not on a large and circular button, not in the depths.
This opens the door to the next room. Once again, use the catapult and your glider to fly there. The same task awaits you once again in the upcoming room:
By catching the second sphere, you will open the door to the exit.
Before you collect your blessing of light and leave the shrine, you should collect the chest and its contents. Use the first catapult in the second room again. Drop about a third of the way and then activate the aiming function of your bow. The chest is hanging on a rope tied to a platform on the other side of the room.
It's best to use a bomb or fire a fruit arrow to cut the rope. At the bottom, you will be rewarded with a large Zonai energy device. You have now completed the Mayak Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
