One of over 150 shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the Mayasiar Shrine. This is one of the more difficult shrines in the game.

What it's about: The Mayasiar Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is not only relatively difficult to reach, but also quite a bit more extensive than most other shrines in the game. In this guide, we'll show you how to get through it while collecting all the chests along the way.

Location of the Mayasiar Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Your path to the Mayasiar Shrine starts at the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower. Use the tower to launch yourself into the air. At the highest point, activate your glider and sail a little to the right. In front of you, you'll see a huge sphere (no, it's not the Death Star!), that's Starview Island. The Mayasiar Shrine is located inside it. Sail towards it until you see the platform on the screenshot below and land on it.

On the left side of the platform, there is a small plate with two rockets on it. Use Ultrahand to position at least one of the missiles vertically on the plate, then activate it with an attack. Let yourself be carried as far up as possible and use the updraft there to carry yourself a bit further up. Open your glider at the highest point and float over to the giant sphere. You will need at least two full stamina circles for this.

On the back of the giant sphere is a large hole. This is the entrance to Starview Island. Jump in and slide onto the round platform in the middle. Your task will now be to glide from platform to platform and align the mirrors so that the light beam is directed to the next platform and mirror.

In the beginning, there are no light beams in the sphere, except for those that radiate from the large platform in the center. Rotate the first device on this platform until the light beam hits the mirror on the neighboring platform and is forwarded. Then use the updrafts that are everywhere in the sphere to get to the highest platform of all.

The handle on this platform needs to be turned just a little clockwise until the light is directed to the left at the next mirror.

Follow the beam onto this platform and move the device there clockwise as well until the beam hits the next mirror and is directed to the right there.

It continues in the same style. Fly after the beam and turn the device clockwise again so that the light is directed to the platform with the columns, causing a tile there to glow green.

This will unlock the Mayasiar Shrine. Go to the platform with the green glowing tile and enter the Mayasiar Shrine. In the shrine itself, no more puzzles or enemies are waiting for you, but a chest containing a Star Fragment Staff.
