In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are a total of four different dragons, including the Light Dragon, which circles over Hyrule in a fixed route.

What it's about: The four dragons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom correspond to their respective elements. There are:

  • Light Dragon
  • Fire Dragon
  • Lightning Dragon
  • Ice dragon

On the fire dragon it is very hot, on the ice dragon very cold, etc. On the dragons you can find scales and crystals of the lime worms, which you can then use for fuse or to upgrade certain items. The Light Dragon is also the location of the master sword, which is in its head. In this guide, we'll show you which route the Light Dragon flies in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The route of the Light Dragon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Light Dragon flies the highest of all four dragons. This is because you can pull the Master Sword from its head. In order not to be able to simply jump from a sky island onto the dragon, its flight path is very high. Although it is possible to reach him with your glider, but only with very good timing and extremely high stamina.

So if you want to get the Master Sword, you have to either complete the quest for it or collect all the dragon tears. In the picture below you can see the route of the Light Dragon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Light Dragon takes a total of two hours to fly its entire route once, and is the only dragon that doesn't fly down into the abyss for some time. Once you complete the quest for the Master Sword, the dragon permanently reduces its flight altitude and is easier to reach.
