The Warfarer is an exclusive vocation that is only available to the Awakened, so you can only play it yourself and cannot assign it to your pawns as a class. The Warfarer excels in the use of all weapons and can acquire skills from various vocations.
Due to its versatility in handling various weapons, the Warfarer can adapt flexibly to different situations and create unique combinations that surpass the limitations of conventional classes. Although the Warfarer's basic stats may be lower, cleverly utilizing different weapon types and their situational strengths allows them to compete with the specialized abilities of other vocations.
The description suggests that the Warfarer is an all-rounder class that is not particularly strong in any direction (melee, ranged, magic, defense, healing) but can do a bit of everything. Only with properly linked combos can the Warfarer outperform other classes.
Capcom has not revealed any further details about it so far.
What is the Dragon Plague?
Additionally, Capcom informs that there will be a Dragon Plague in Dragon's Dogma 2, affecting your pawns. It is an infectious disease that appears to be transmitted even by other pawns to your own.
The Dragon Plague initially strengthens your companions, which you can notice not only in their effectiveness but also in their behavior. They become increasingly bold, and it is still unknown what the long-term effects of the Dragon Plague are. If the symptoms reach their final stage, it is said to lead to devastating catastrophes. Here, too, Capcom keeps us in the dark until players discover it for themselves.
