The Walking Dead universe is getting bigger and as already known, Rick and Michonne will also get their own spin-off together. Now the number of seasons and the number of episodes is known. Accordingly, it will be rather a short pleasure.
This is what's going on: Today it became known how many seasons the planned The Walking Dead spin-off around Rick Grimes and Michonne will have. The number of episodes is also known. Fans must now be brave because the end of the story of these two iconic characters is shorter than many hopes. We have all the info.
It has now been revealed that the spin-off will only be one season. In 6 episodes, Rick and Michonne will finish their story together. This is mainly to conclude the story around Rick Grimes, who has already been part of The Walking Dead since the first season. Rick will not continue to appear after that, at least there are no plans for that. So we can be curious what will happen to Rick and also what Michonne will do, who originally set out to find the missing Rick.
More about The Walking Dead |
Here's what else we know: The Twitter page The Walking Dead World reports that the title of the spin-off series will probably be “Summit”, meaning the “Peak of The Walking Dead”. However, this is most likely only a working title. World Beyond and Fear The Walking Dead also had their own working titles, Monument and Cobalt, before their release.
According to further information, which has not been confirmed, filming will take place in New Jersey as early as January and will run until April 2023. This is said to be the same location used for filming The Walking Dead: Dead City series.
Rick already made a brief appearance in the finale of The Walking Dead. Our writer Kevin Willing explains what that means.
