Finally, Studio Wildcard has released the first trailer for the ARK remake ARK: Survival Ascended. It is supposed to be available as of today, but it is not entirely clear whether this only means the Steam page or the release.
Here's what's going on: gamers have been waiting for the first gameplay trailer for ARK: Survival Ascended, the ARK 1 remake in Unreal Engine 5, for some time now. Today, in the course of the Xbox Partner Preview Show, the trailer was actually unveiled. In addition, a Steam page is live, and the video description literally says, “available today”.
The trailer is finally online and shows The Island in its new glory. All further Expansions are still waiting. These are supposed to be released from December 2023 in regular intervals until the end of 2024, and then ARK 2 is already coming.
A “Coming Soon” page is also now available on Steam. As we already reported, such a page with a trailer actually has to be online two weeks before the release, according to Steam rules. Thus, a release would be possible on November 8 at the earliest.
However, “Available Today” is displayed under the official YouTube trailer and in the trailer on the Steam page. However, this could only mean the Steam page, not the release. Should the release still take place today, it might not be the case until tomorrow morning. Console players will still have to be patient because the release is supposed to take place later in November.
We will keep you up to date on this.
Even though ARK should run better with Unreal Engine 5 than it did with the outdated code and the old UE version, the system requirements are higher than they were for ARK: Survival Evolved.
