Assassin’s Creed Jade introduces an uncharted open world in China, the size of which was previously undisclosed. In an interview with the developers, Guided author Kevin Willing exclusively uncovered the size of the game world.
What’s it about? According to the developers, Assassin’s Creed Jade is the first full-fledged Assassin’s Creed game for mobile. And, just like any good Assassin’s Creed title, Jade features a gripping and surprisingly expansive open world. We discovered the true size of AC: Jade’s world in an interview with the developers.
How large is the game world of Assassin’s Creed Jade right now?
In an interview with the developers at Level Infinite, we gained insight into the gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Jade, which surprisingly gets a lot right. All questions were answered willingly. However, when asked about the size of the game world, Executive Producer Andrei Chan hesitated:
“We can’t say exactly (…). Let me put it this way, the map is roughly the size of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. But, as you know, in Black Flag, the map is mainly composed of water.”
However, while playing Assassin’s Creed Jade, we noticed that we could measure the map. A casual result of 3.8 km x 4.2 km seemed too imprecise to us. When we approached the developers with this information, they conceded and confirmed:
“Yes, the game world of Assassin’s Creed Jade is approximately 16 km². That’s the same size as the game world in the medieval role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Since the world of Jade is not square, our fixed calculations may have been a bit imprecise. Thanks to the developers for confirming our suspicions.”

Not only will the main map be expanded with the full release, but our protagonist will also travel to distant lands. The developers mention Rome and Greece as examples. However, the size of these world sections remains unclear.
