Fans of Elden Ring have been waiting for what feels like an eternity for the promised DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. There are now signs on Steam that an actual release is just around the corner.
We were beginning to doubt whether Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree would ever really be released. There has not been the slightest news about the promised DLC for almost a year, or more precisely, since the announcement at the beginning of 2023. But that has changed now.
There has been an update to the DLC section of the Elden Ring Steam page. On Twitter and Reddit, there are already various speculations about a release in February this year.

Even if we have no guarantees that the update on Steam has anything to do with the imminent release of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the chances are very good. After all, there hasn't been an update for the DLC on the Elden Ring Steam page for over two years.

What's more, the main game celebrates its second anniversary on February 25 this year.
Even if it is not yet February, the update on Steam should at least make it clear that there will be news about the Elden Ring DLC very shortly.
