While there was a huge leak to GTA 6 recently, fans have started mapping the map. They follow several clues and recreate the possible size in MS Paint. Accordingly, GTA 6 will probably be twice as big as GTA 5.
Here's what's going on: GTA fans worldwide have joined forces in the GTA Forums to recreate GTA 6's new map. They already did this successfully for GTA 5 and recreated the map of Los Santos quite accurately in MS Paint before the official reveal. They only analyzed trailers, information bits, and screenshots from the developers in detail.
After the big leak from GTA 6, the fans got together again to recreate the map piece by piece. This will probably be a project that will be worked on for months or even years. Every detail the developers present until then will be used to create a possible map.
Even if there is not much to see from the GTA 6 map, fans are sure they have already found the approximate size. The map should be about twice the size of GTA 5. Impressive considering that Los Santos is already a big game world.
This is how the fans proceed: To avoid lawsuits from Rockstar Games, the players do not use any image material from leaks on their map. Instead, they use Google Earth to find the locations from the leaked videos, using math and logic to determine the size and locations. Other users are bypassing the GTA Forums restrictions and sharing everything they can find from the leaks in a private discord server for faster progress.
However, the completion of the map will still take a long time. We are curious to see whether the mappers are right again in this case. Just like it was the case with GTA 5 back then.
