An alleged Q&A tester has revealed Activision's plans for Call of Duty until 2025 in a possible leak. According to this, CoD: Modern Warfare 2 would receive significantly less content than originally planned; furthermore, "the Project Jupiter crap" is true.
"Q&A leak" may be real: It's one of those things with leaks, be it for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or any other title. Because no one is immune to misinformation, not even Tom Henderson or Jason Schreier.
In the case of the now available leak on CoD MW 2, we were faced with the problem that the self-professed revealer, allegedly a Q&A tester at Activision, appears under the pseudonym "Akira" and is about as well-known in the leaker scene as an African school newspaper is in Japan.
In his TwitLonger message, Akira wrote that he's "had it" with Activision and plans to turn his back on the company after more than ten years. However, he will not do so without "giving us some information about the future of 'Cod 2.0'" first.
Anyway, we have examined the approximately 7000-character leak in detail and came to the conclusion that Akira's claims could be authentic. For this reason, we will go into more detail about the "Q&A leak" below. Keep in mind, however, that we could be wrong with our assessment.

According to the (former) Q&A tester "Akira", who last did his job with CoD: Modern Warfare 2, "the game (...) will get way less content than originally planned".
Among other things, he tested a raid planned for Season 3. This is to take place in Las Alamas and let players slip into the roles of Captain Price, Gaz, Alejandro and Rudy. Furthermore, Akira stated:
In season 2, Alex will be there as a character, but only in communication. The playable characters are Ghost, Soap, Price and Gaz.
In the raids, reference will be made to Hadir and Makarov.
The Battle Royale map Las Alamas is finished, it would have been added in Season 4 or 5, but I will explain that later.
Season 6 of MW 2 will not happen, seasons 3, 4 and 5 have been cut in content. So there will be significantly less content released than the schedules that were leaked a week ago.
On this topic, Akira stated that "the Project Jupiter sh**" was true. With this, the alleged Q&A person referred to a leak from February, which referred to a Call of Duty project of this codename. Originally, PJ was planned as DLC for Modern Warfare 2, but it was ultimately reworked into a standalone game.
The developer, he wrote, was not Sledgehammer, but "the content is already there from IW, it's just being held back." In addition, the disappointed Activision tester revealed:
The new maps [note: for CoD 2023] are average. 3-way maps, most of them are medium in size. One of the maps is set in the building from the last mission of the MW-2 campaign.
Before Project Jupiter was greenlit, Verdansk was planned to be brought back for a small event. However, it appears that this will no longer happen. Anyway, it was a combination of the original Verdansk and Verdansk 84. At least based on what I've seen.
As for the campaign, it's the usual MW crap. The raids that were planned for Season 6 and Year 2 of MW 2 are used as levels. Makarov is in the game. He is hinted at in the future raids of MW 2, but is not supposed to be on screen until the next game.
Hadir is in the game, he is Al-Asad. He and Makarov will be working together. Yuri will also be in the game. He is playable for some of the missions.
There are references to the Four Horsemen in the story (see CoD 4: Horsemen). The campaign is basically "done", one of the missions I played was very similar to the Davis family vacation mission from MW3.
My favorite mission was driving along a highway in Berlin hunting down and shooting enemies. Similar to Violence and Timing, except you don't jump out of the car.
There are missions in the UK, Germany, Al Mazrah, Urzikstan, and the US. Mainly special missions, no cartel crap (sorry, no Valeria). Shepherd is in this game, he's considered M.I.A., but it won't be like in MW 2 where he worked with Makarov all the time.
And yes, they [note: Activision] are doing another year of toned-down Spec Ops.
The 2024 edition of Call of Duty will also be thematically set in modern warfare, should Akira's statements be true. The campaign will be the "usual streamlined, linear story", and it will take place in the Gulf War.
Along for the ride, he said, are "the usual characters". In one of the missions already completed, Mason and Woods sneak into an Afghan military camp to gather intelligence. Akira also had a few more things to say about this upcoming CoD:
References to Perseus and Bell are planned, and Adler will be playable. As for the story, the Dark Aether story will continue.
Just expect the usual 6v6 CoD from the multiplayer with various gimmick modes and remasters.
Outbreak and Onslaught from Cold War are in this game. Outbreak is planned to allow more than four players per game. It will take place on a single map.
The first map to be released (it's called "ZOD", which literally means "Zombies on the Disc") takes place in a prison. It has nothing to do with Mob of the Dead from Bo2, but is a completely new, fresh map. The wonder weapon will be similar to the staffs from Origins. No ray gun.
Some gameplay mechanics from MW 2 like Sliding, Dolphin Diving, Tac Sprint, etc are still in the planning stages. So I can't say anything for sure. The TTK is similar to Bo4, Slide-Cancelling was possible. The Scorestreak system from Cold War was included in my test build.
Akira was last to talk about the integration of Warzone 2. Accordingly, they want to create a map similar to Blackout's, which will also be used for Outbreak. It is a "damn gigantic" map. In addition, in-game weather events similar to Battlefield 2042 are planned, but according to the Q&A tester's assessment, it will be some rain, if any.
