In Assassin's Creed Mirage, you have to eavesdrop on various people or guards as part of several quests. This guide shows you exactly how this works.
This guide explains:
Eavesdropping in Assassin's Creed Mirage
Numerous quests in Assassin's Creed Mirage require you to eavesdrop on other people. In the “Follow Nur's Lead” mission, for example, you have to eavesdrop on the guards to find out where Ali is.
The basic prerequisite for being able to eavesdrop on guards or even normal people is, of course, that you are in the area around the relevant group of people. They must also not notice that you are in their immediate vicinity. Fortunately, you can always find suitable hiding places nearby, such as benches, haystacks, or similar. From your hiding place, you then have to look in the direction of the people and press the right stick on your controller.
It is important to mention here that the game makes a distinction between real hiding places (such as a haystack) and simply hiding behind the next corner. You must always be in a real hiding place. However, the game also makes exceptions to this rule. It is often enough to sit inconspicuously on a nearby bench, even though you are very visible to everyone. You can therefore choose various options to enable the “Eavesdrop” option.
Nevertheless, we had the problem a few times that eavesdropping didn't work. Especially when we wanted to eavesdrop on the conversations of guards, we had issues, such as in the quest “Follow Nur's Lead”. Whether this is a bug is not entirely clear, but the solution is very simple. It always helped to either stay in the hiding place for a few seconds or to change your line of sight again and then look back at the group of people.
