Before you set out to find the Mundane Chest, you and your companions should be at least party level four. If this requirement is met, your destination is the "Underdark". Many paths lead to this underground realm. Once you reach it, you'll have to head to the lower areas of the western regions. There you will find the Arcane Tower.
To get to the Chest of the Mundane you have to pass the main entrance and go to the balcony on the right on the main floor. There the chest is lying on the floor and you can easily collect it and add it to your inventory. Of course, the way through the main entrance is not easy to pass, because arcane cannons protect it. The chest uses an ingenious trick to reduce the weight of your items. Assuming you have some heavy armor or other thick items in your inventory that prevent you from carrying additional equipment, you can place these heavy items in the chest. As soon as you put them in, these items will turn into a cup, a spoon, or other items that have little weight. When you transfer the items back out of the chest, they change back to their original shape with their original weight.
