In this guide, you will learn how to unlock the arcane barrier in Ramazith’s tower in Baldur’s Gate 3.
If you want to get the Markoheshkir Legendary Staff and Robe of the Weave, you will need to visit Ramazith’s Tower. The main obstacle that will stand in your way will be the arcane barriers, which you will need to deactivate to get items. It’s actually easy, but you’ll need a character with a high Intelligence stat. Follow the tips below to successfully complete the task.
BG3: How To Disable Arcane Barriers
To disable the barriers, you’ll have to use the levers responsible for them. They are invisible, and you need to use the See Invisibility Potion to find them or win a Perception check. Once you do, you’ll face the hardest part of the task, which is interacting with the levers. This is difficult because to successfully interact with them and disable the barrier, you will have to make an Intelligence Check with a DC 20. In addition, you only have one attempt to do this, so be sure to prepare thoroughly beforehand.
Choose a character who has the highest Intelligence stat and, if possible, add buffs to help them pass the check. You can use various items that give this bonus or apply the Enhance Ability spell to the character. You’ll need to interact with the levers twice. When you do everything right, you will receive the desired items, namely:
- Markoheshkir Legendary Staff
- Robe of the Weave
Each lever is responsible for one of these items, so if you fail to pass both barriers, don’t worry because you will still be rewarded.

BG3: How To Reach Ramazith’s Tower
To get to the tower, you will need to enter it through Sorcerous Sundries. This is a building located in Lower City at the following coordinates: X:-25, Y:-60. Once inside, go up to the second floor where the portals are located. You will need to enter the blue portal, located on the far left.
If you do everything right, you’ll get to the tower, but now you’ll have to get to the place where the items are located, including the barriers that protect them. To do this, go to the balcony, which is located at the following coordinates: X:5000, Y:700. Once there, use Misty Step, or a similar spell or potion, to get down to the floor below without being harmed. After doing so, you will need to go inside the building and walk around it to find a plate that says Below. Use it, and you’ll be taken down to where the barriers are.
