As befits a good survival MMO, living and surviving in Conan Exiles is often a challenge. Especially at the beginning of the game, your ways and means of healing yourself are severely limited.

Health points are quickly lost in Conan Exiles. Unfortunately, they are not nearly as quickly renewed. In order to restore life points in Conan Exiles at all, there are really only three methods worth mentioning.

Conan Exiles: Healing with food

One way to get your health bar full again is by eating food. It doesn't matter whether you eat insects collected from the forest or treat yourself to a high-quality roast steak. The only requirement that must be met for your character to continuously regenerate health is that it must be fed. Whether you are full is displayed under your status bar at the top left of the screen.

This is important: A green or full hunger indicator does not mean that you are full! It is therefore possible that you do not regenerate life even though your hunger meter is green. Only the status "full" is decisive. Depending on the food you regenerate a different amount of life. For example, a bloody arena sacrifice brings you 200 life, while a blood sausage only restores 20 life.

If you have leveled your vitality up to the point "susceptible" you will not only receive an additional permanent passive regeneration effect, but also even more renewed life points per healing effect.

Conan Exiles: Heal Aloe Extracts

At level 15 you can craft Aloe Extracts. These heal significantly more life points than food and have the great advantage that you can consume them quickly even during a fight. To make aloe extract, you first need to collect enough aloe vera leaves. Luckily you can find the plants all over the map. You can also combine the plants with various resources to craft extracts of different strengths:

  • Weak Aloe Extract: Craftable from level 1, requires 3 x aloe vera leaves, heals 80 life points over five seconds
  • Aloe Extract: Craftable from level 15, requires 10 x aloe vera leaves, heals 120 life points over five seconds
  • Concentrated Aloe Extract: Craftable from level 35, requires 30 x Aloe Vera Leaves and 1 x Alchemical Base, heals 160 life points over five seconds
  • Pure Aloe Extract: Craftable from level 55, requires 50 x aloe vera leaves and 20 x alchemical basic substance, heals 200 life points over five seconds
  • Infused Aloe Extract: Learned through interaction, requires Aloe Vera Leaves x50, Alchemical Base x20 and Dagon's Scale x1, heals 140 Health in 2.5 seconds

Aloea Extracts restore Health over time in a persistent effect. Once you have a sickle, be sure to use it to collect aloe vera leaves, as you'll get a lot more leaves from a plant than collecting by hand.

Conan Exiles: Healing with Bandages

Besides food and extracts, you can also use bandages to heal yourself. However, bandages and bandages are not suitable for combat, as they take you a few seconds to put on. During this time you cannot move and are defenseless against attacks from your opponents. So you should always have enough extracts with you for fights. For non-combat heals, there are several types of bandages:

  • Rough wraps: Craftable from level 1, requires 10 x plant fiber, heals 72 life points over 9.5 seconds
  • Healing wraps: Craftbar from level 15, requires 10 x leather and 10 x aloe vera leaves, heals 110 life points over 9.5 seconds
  • Numbing wraps: Craftable from level 35, requires 10 x leather, 20 x aloe vera leaves and 1 x alchemical basic substance, heals 148 life points over 9.5 seconds
  • Stutter wraps: Craftable from level 55, requires 10 x silk, 30 x aloe vera leaves and 10 x alchemical basic substance, heals 185 life points over 9.5 seconds
  • Infused Wraps: Drop only, heals 140 health in 4.75 seconds

Unlike aloe extracts, bandages restore health per tick for a period of time.
