The release time of Diablo 4 is set and the preload is even possible from tomorrow. From exact dates to download sizes: Here you will find out everything you need to know about the release of Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 release and preload are imminent: Hack 'n slash fans who didn't paricipate in any of the two Diablo 4 beta tests can look forward to its release on June 6, 2023. Of course, everyone else is just as free to pull the corners of their mouths way up on that day.
However, beta participants will look in vain for their hard-won game progress on release day. Also, the characters created during the test phase have already fallen victim to a wipe. So hell will start anew for everyone, no matter how much time you have invested in Blizzard's action role-playing game.

Speaking of time: Here in Germany, the blood-soaked action role-playing game will launch on the night of June 6 at 1 am. Due to the time difference, there will be slightly different release dates globally, for example in the coastal regions of the US:
Yes, there will be early access for the early birds (read: pre-orderers) as there was during the beta. However, it's not enough to buy or own the standard edition of Diablo 4 for this. To get early access starting June 2, you'll need either a Digital Deluxe Edition priced at $100 or the Ultimate Edition for $110. If you're willing to spend that much money on Diablo 4, here are the launch times for early access:
Blizzard has also set its sights on the 1 am mark for the preload. The US game developer wants to make the preload available in Germany and Central Europe as early as 1 a.m. tomorrow, May 31, 2023. The start times for the other countries we're considering are therefore the same as the previous ones.
By the way, you can safely uninstall the beta client, because it will no longer be used in the release version of Diablo 4. You will therefore have to download the entire package again.
After the beta builds for PC were around 83 gigabytes, the release version now requires around 90 gigabytes. The download size of the last-gen versions for PS4 and Xbox One was just under 38 gigabytes, so the size of the final build could be around 45 to 50 gigabytes.
The dates and times we've given apply to all versions of Diablo 4, and thus to PC, PlayStation 5/4, and Xbox Series X/S/One.
