Recipe and Ingredients for the Charlotte Cake in Dreamlight Valley

To be able to prepare this 3-star dessert recipe, you need to gather the following ingredients:

  • Wheat
  • Strawberries
  • Agave

How to get all the Needed Ingredients:

Wheat:  For one coin, you can buy wheat seeds from Goofy's stand in the Peaceful Meadow (in the main game) or at Goofy's stand in the Ancient's Landing on the Eternity Isles (A Rift in Time). After planting the seeds, you only need to wait for one minute before you can harvest the wheat. Then, you can sell it for 2 coins each or consume it for 19 energy.

Strawberries: Strawberries grow on bushes in the Ancient's Landing on the Eternity Isles, where you can pick them. It takes 30 minutes for strawberries to respawn after picking. When you sell the picked strawberries, you'll earn 23 coins, and if you choose to eat them, you will gain 275 energy.

Agave:  Agaves grow on the Eternity Isles in the Glittering Dunes. Just like the other spices, you can easily pick them up from the ground. Each Agave is worth 25 coins, and it provides you with 100 energy when consumed.

Author’s Tip: Plant the vegetable seeds where you bought them to reduce the growing time and improve quality. With the help of the ancient gardener, you have no work and can relax while harvesting the finished plants.

Cooking to Improve the Friendship Level

The residents in your valley have three preferred gifts, which will change every day and help you level up your friendship with the corresponding resident faster, allowing you to progress in the game. Often, these three desired gifts include a specific dish that you can prepare. Occasionally, residents even wish for two or, in rare cases, three dishes.

If you want to speed up the leveling of your friendship, you can also give 5-star dishes to the residents, which have a helpful impact on increasing the friendship level. Once you've unlocked Remy's Restaurant, you have the option to prepare the residents' orders and serve them the desired dish, which will also boost your friendship.

Cooking to Restore or Gain Energy

Through various activities like mining for gems or planting and harvesting vegetables or other plants, you use up your energy, causing your blue energy bar to decrease. You can easily restore your energy, by eating dishes that restore your regular energy and provide you with some extra energy. This extra energy goes beyond the blue bar and is shown in gold. You can use this additional energy to surf through the valley, allowing you to be faster than walking.

Cooking to Earn Extra Coins

The values of a prepared dish come from the individual values of the ingredients used and the cooking process, giving each dish unique values. If you sell dishes at Goofy's shops, located throughout the Dreamlight Valley, you can earn yourself some extra cash.

Cooking to Feed and Befriend Animals

Most animals in Dreamlight Valley are satisfied with raw ingredients like fish or vegetables. Occasionally, some animals insist on having their meals prepared. Some examples include the ravens in the Forgotten Lands of the main game, who insist on receiving only 5-star dishes. The monkeys, on the Eternity Isles, demand dishes based on bananas with at least 3 stars if you want to befriend them.

Cooking to Complete Quests or Star Path Tasks

In Dreamlight Valley, you'll have various quests in which you have to prepare specific recipes, sometimes even multiple ones, to complete the quest and advance in the game. In most cases, you'll receive the required recipe within the quest from the resident who gave you the task.

It's a bit different with the tasks you have to complete, to obtain rewards on the Star Path. These tasks can be very specific, often requiring you to eat or cook a particular dish multiple times. Sometimes, you'll only receive the number of stars and the number of dishes you need to prepare, without specific recipes.
