You've probably wished you could fast-forward time in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Whether it's as part of a quest or simply to farm certain resources, a quick day and night change can be beneficial for many reasons.
Why can artificially fast-forwarding game time be helpful? Quite simply, many resources in Disney Dreamlight Valley, such as certain flowers or rock deposits, don't respawn until quite a while after you've mined and collected them. If you could just jump forward a day, the resources would be right back and you could mine them again. Then you would have all the materials you need (for whatever) together quickly.
Another reason that makes a fast-forward game time feature extremely attractive is your Disney friends' quests. Often, you'll have to collect certain items for a quest, but they can only be found at certain times. So if you log into Disney Dreamlight Valley at noon and want to complete a certain quest, but the items it calls for only appear at night, you're powerless. For example, the quest "Sunstone Fragments" from Mother Gothel is such a case.

So far, unfortunately, there is no official function to change the time in the game. You can't sit down by a campfire or lie down in a bed like in other games and decide at what time of day or night you want to get up again. Time in Disney Dreamlight Valley runs roughly like real-time. So you actually have to wait until night falls in the game.
However, you can trick the game with a little trick. If you manually change the system time on your console or computer via the system settings, the time in the game will also change. This way you can quickly make it night or day, just as you need it. This way you can quickly farm resources, complete quests, or even reset the feeding times for the animals.
Attention: Artificially changing the game time via your system settings can cause problems with your saved game state. Among other things, this can lead to certain resources no longer spawning daily or you no longer being able to harvest individual materials. If you have already experienced these problems, there is only one thing that can help: You have to set the time back to the first date, i.e. to the date before the first change, when everything was still running smoothly.
