If you improve your friendship level with Olaf in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Olaf’s quest “A Story to Tell” unlocks at friendship level 4. We’ll tell you how to complete this quest successfully.
This is what this quest is about: Help Olaf get everything ready so that he can be once again the official storyteller in Dreamlight Valley.
Prepare Snacks for Olaf’s Show in Dreamlight Valley
Once you have unlocked the quest, you have to talk to Olaf to activate it. In the conversation, he tells you about the snacks he would like to have during his show, so you should talk to Remy. Remy will give you a list of ingredients you need for Olaf’s snack. You can only guess what exactly you’re cooking, since the recipe’s name isn’t mentioned.
You will need these ingredients to prepare the snack:
- 2x corn
- 1x sugar cane
- 1x butter
- 1x Pure ice
- You can get it from Elsa.
Here you can get the other ingredients:
Corn: Corn, or corn seeds, can be bought at Goofy’s stall on the dazzling beach. You have to wait 12 minutes before you can harvest grown corn. Harvested corn can be sold for 16 coins a piece, or you can eat it yourself to gain +30 energy.
Sugar Cane: At Goofy’s stand at the beach, you can buy sugar cane or sugar cane seeds. Sugar cane seeds take 7 minutes to grow before you can harvest them. You can sell the harvested sugar cane for 19 coins, or eat it, which will give you +46 energy.
Butter: Butter is one of the ingredients you can only buy from Remy in the restaurant. You can buy butter for 190 coins.

This is the Dish You Will Prepare
Once you’ve collected all the ingredients, you put them together in the cooking pot. A 5-star dessert will come out through the five ingredients; “Sweet Frost Popcorn”. You can make sweet frost popcorn only in this quest since you get pure ice from Elsa once. Once it is prepared, give the finished popcorn to Olaf.
Collect Stories and Take Photos With Olaf
To make sure Olaf has enough stories to tell, it’s your job to ask Kristoff and Donald about their exciting story, which you will report to Olaf.
For the perfect backgrounds of the show, Olaf asks you to take photos of the following places:
- The Pillar of Courage, which stands in the Forest of Valor.
- The elephant graveyard on the sunlit plateau.
- The ruins in the Forgotten Lands.
Once you’ve taken the photos, talk to Olaf once more to finish the quest.
