The latest update for Disney Dreamlight Valley “A Festival of Friendship” brought several big changes, including crafting training manuals that let you change the talent of your Disney friends after the fact.
Here’s the deal: You previously couldn’t change a resident’s assigned role or talent after the fact in Disney Dreamlight Valley. So, for example, if you assigned one of your Disney friends to help you grow vegetables and crops, that decision was fixed and could not be reversed.
With the new update, that has been changed. From now on, you can make so-called training manuals in Disney Dreamlight Valley and use them to change the assigned role for the respective resident. How to do this and what you need for it, we show you in our guide.
How to Craft Training Manuals in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In order to create the manuals and reset the roles of your Disney friends, you have to fulfill three requirements:
- You require the new update “A Festival of Friendship”.
- You must collect all the necessary crafting resources – there are five different training manuals, each with its own crafting recipe.
- The friendship level with the resident whose talent must be reset must be level ten.
All five recipes of the training manuals
For each of the five manuals, you require specific materials. We’ll tell you what resources you require and where to get them.
Ingredients for the Digging Training Manual
- 5,000 x Dreamlight
- 20 x pebbles (location: Dazzle Beach)
- 20 x Sand (Location: Dazzle Beach)
- 30 x Soil (Location: Anywhere there is earth)
Ingredients for the Fishing Training Manual
- 5,000 x Dreamlight
- 2 x Swordfish (Location: Dazzle Beach)
- 5 x Bream (Location: Peaceful Meadow)
- 10 x Herring (Found in: Dazzle Beach or Glade of Trust)
Ingredients for the Foraging Training Manual
- 5,000 x Dreamlight
- 30 x Banana (Found in: Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow)
- 20 x Blueberry (Locations: Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor)
- 10 x Basil (Found in: Peaceful Meadow)
Ingredients for the Mining Training Manual
- 5,000 x Dreamlight
- 2 x Topaz (Location: Plaza)
- 2 x Aquamarine (Locations: Dazzle Beach and Forest of Valor)
- 2 x Peridot (Locations: Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow)
Ingredients for the Gardening Training Manual
- 5,000 x Dreamlight
- 40 x Corn (Locations: Dazzle Beach and Goofy’s Store)
- 60 x Tomato (Locations: Dazzle Beach and Goofy’s Store)
- 20 x Carrot (Locations: Peaceful Meadow and Goofy’s Shop)
Once you have gathered the necessary ingredients to craft each manual, you can craft it at any workbench in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Go to the workbench and select the Potions and Enchantments category. There you can craft the training manual you want.
