In this Disney Dreamlight Valley guide, we’ll show you how to successfully complete Prince Eric’s second quest, “Part of His World”.
This is what this quest is about: While Prince Eric was caught by Ursula, he heard that it is possible to use an enchanted item to allow Arielle to choose between her legs and her fish fin. The item allows her, to become a part of his world on land, or stay in her world underwater.
Requirements to Unlock This Quest:
- Prince Eric must be unlocked
- He has his human form back
- Progress in your friendship with Prince Eric
Crafting the Shapeshifting Enchantment in Dreamlight Valley
Once you have met the requirements to start this quest, talk to Eric. Eric will tell you about the possibility that Arielle could live both in the water and on land, without having to pick either one.
Talk to Maui, as he is the only shape-shifter in the Valley, and ask him what you need to change Arielle’s fish fin into legs and vice versa. From him, you will now receive the task of gathering the following materials that it takes to craft the shapeshifting enchantment:
- 5x White Impatiens
- You can find it in the Forgotten Land
- 5x Purified Night Shard
- Made at a workbench
- 1x Purified Night Shard = 5x Night Shard + 1x Dream Shard
- 1x Empty Vial
- It is made on a workbench
- 1x Empty Vial = 3x Glass
- 1x glass = 5x sand + 1x coal
You can then easily create the Shapeshifting Enchantment on a workbench out of the above-listed materials.
Fish a Nautilus and Complete Prince Eric’s “Part of His World” Quest.
Bring Eric the shapeshifting enchantment, that you just made on the workbench, and talk to him. Now you need a nautilus, a kind of shell that you can only fish with the help of a special bait. You will then receive a fish gut oil from Eric, with the task of asking Remy to help you make the bait.
Bring Remy the fish gut oil and talk to him, after which he will tell you what ingredients he needs:
- 4x Garlic
- 4x Onion
- You can buy seeds or harvested onions at Goofy’s stand in the Forest of Valor.
- Onion seeds take 1 hour and 15 minutes to grow before you can harvest them.
- 1x Lancetfish
- Catch it in the blue circles, in the waters of the forgotten lands.
- 1x Crab
- Catch it in the blue circles, in the waters of the frosted heights.
Bring Remy the collected ingredients and let him give you the bait he made. Then go to the bridge of the dazzling beach, which connects both parts of the beach, to fish a nautilus. The area where you can fish it is indicated by an orange circle.
Complete the “Part of His World” Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Now give Eric the Shapeshifting enchantment and the Nautilus, from which he will make a Nautilus Pendant. Give this nautilus pendant to Arielle, which completes the quest.
How to Switch Between Arielle’s Legs and her Fish Fin
Select the “Characters” tab under “Collection” and click on Arielle. A window will open where you can click on the “outfit” you want her to wear, a choice between fin and legs. Then choose whether you want Arielle to be on land or in the water. Arielle will be displayed accordingly in the fountain of the main square, depending on your choice.
On land, like other villagers, you can assign Arielle a specialty and take her on adventures and quests.
