The oven is an important device for processing your resources in the survival game Grounded. We will tell you how to unlock, build and use the oven.

What it’s about: The oven is one of the most important devices in Grounded. You can use it to make bricks or cement, for example. In this guide, we will tell you how to unlock, build and use it.

How to Unlock the Oven in Grounded

To build an oven at all, you must first unlock the recipe for it. Some recipes in Grounded are obtained by analyzing materials at a science tent. However, you can only get the recipe for the oven if you bring BURG.L one of his chips. Additionally, you have to buy the upgrade for “Advanced Production Buildings”. This will cost you 2,500 Raw Science.

But always one after the other. First, you have to find the chip. It can be found in the haze lab, which is located in the southwest. But be careful, there are some enemies and poisonous fumes waiting for you. Therefore, it is best to wear good armor and a gas mask. In the end, you will have to fight an infected ladybug and a swarm of infected mites. Once you have defeated them, you can grab the chip from the haze lab and go to BURG.L with it.

The requirements to unlock the oven at a glance:

  • Go to the haze lab.
  • Find the chip for BURG.L at the end of the haze lab.
  • Take the chip to BURG.L and buy the upgrade for the oven for 2,500 Raw Science.

How to Craft the Oven

Now that you’ve unlocked the recipe for the oven, you’ll want to know how to build it. In fact, it’s relatively simple. You only need three different resources.

To build an oven, you need:

  • 10x Clay
  • 4x EverChar Coal Chunk
  • 4x Boiling Gland

You can build and place this oven.

How to Use the Oven in Grounded

The oven works a little differently than, for example, the workbench. That’s why we’ll tell you how to use the oven properly.  Similar to the blender, the oven produces items permanently as long as the materials are available. To process all items in the queue, the oven needs 1.5 in-game hours. That’s the equivalent of 3 minutes.
