Moonstones are an important resource in Hogwarts Legacy. You need it to furnish your Room of Requirement. We'll show you the best way to get Moonstones.
In this guide, you will learn:
You unlock the Room of Requirement relatively early on in the game. You can place all kinds of furniture in this room, such as plant tables, brewing tables, fertilizer, or a home for your rescued creatures.
The problem is that each piece of furniture costs a certain amount of moonstones. The larger and more significant the piece of furniture, the more moonstones you have to spend on it in Hogwarts Legacy. Here we show you how many moonstones you need using the plant tables as an example:
The situation is similar with the tables for brewing potions and the other furniture. In order to be able to create these tables, you must buy the necessary recipes in Hogsmeade, namely in the “Tomes and Scrolls” store. As you can see, if you want to fully furnish your Room of Requirement so that you can regularly harvest plants and brew potions, you will need a lot of moonstone.
You can find moonstone everywhere in the open world of Hogwarts Legacy. As soon as you pass them, they glow white and all you have to do is cast the standard spell to collect them. However, it will take you a long time to collect many moonstones this way.
The other option for collecting moonstones is the Material Refiner. This is a device or piece of furniture that you can set up in your Room of Requirement. It will constantly produce moonstones for you. To unlock the Material Refiner, you need to buy the corresponding recipe for 2,000 gold from “Tomes and Scrolls”.
In our opinion, you should spend your first Moonstones on one or two of these devices, as you will automatically receive Moonstones in addition to those you find during your adventures in the game. Your Material Refiner produces 10 Moonstones every ten minutes.
A third way to earn moonstones is the Evanesco spell. You can use it to convert furniture or decorative items in your Room of Requirement that you no longer need into moonstones.
