Each of these resources is located in a cave, so you need to be well-prepared before you go looking for them. Here is a small list of items that you should definitely take to survive:
This is a minimal list, but in general, it contains all the necessary items. If you wish, you can expand it to make your journey more comfortable. So when you are done with your preparations, the next stop is the desert biome. When you are in the desert, look carefully at the map to find the cave icon, and then head to the entrance. When you're finally there, head down and look for the resources you need in the following places:
Compared to the other resources on this list, Blast Cores cannot be mined as ore, but instead, you have to confront the enemy. Lava Roller is one of the subspecies of the Roller mob that lives in caves under the desert and is quite dangerous if you don't know how to deal with it. His feature is a powerful explosion that deals decent damage if you don't move far enough away or kill him beforehand. You can get Blast Cores in any case, even if it self-destructs, so it's recommended to trigger it and run away to avoid engaging in combat. When Lava Roller dies, just go to the place of death and take the resource.
This resource is much easier because your main goal will be to find ore with red stones. It usually spawns near lava, so when you find it, just use the rare pickaxe to break it.
Similar to the previous option, to find obsidian, you will need to search near the lava. It looks like a dark purple shiny ore and can also be broken with a rare pickaxe. When you get the obsidian, use Stone Breakers to turn it into Obsidian Slabs.
When all the necessary resources are found, you will eventually be able to build Metal Smelter. Open the Build menu, find a suitable location on your farm, and place it to start using it.
