To level up Pickpocket, you need to increase your Theft level, and 4 is the maximum. To reach level 4 of Theft, you need to steal something from 20 NPCs, so here are a few ways to do so:
- The first effective way to quickly level up is to get to a city with a large crowd of NPCs, for example: Neon, Akila, and New Atlantis. You will only be able to find simple items such as food or medicine from NPCs without names. Despite this, such thefts will be useful to practice and reach at least level 2-3.
- The second way is to choose a mission with a large group of Crimson Fleet soldiers or Spacers like the Kill Pirates mission. Take a stunning weapon with you, sneak up on target and knock them out. While they are unconscious, take items from their inventory while no one sees it.
