Even though the game is set in the distant 24th century, the drug problem has not disappeared, and you have the chance to earn a good deal of money on it. So in this guide, we will show you how to make and smuggle Aurora in Starfield.
While you can possibly earn credits with Aurora, you also need to know about the ingredients you need and how to get them. Follow our guide to learn all the steps in the process of making Aurora and smuggling it out of Neon.
How to Make Aurora in Starfield
The first thing you need to make Aurora is to get its recipe. When you first enter Neon City and see some Neon Security officers arresting the Aurora smuggler, you have to listen to their conversation. This will open up a series of quests in which you’ll have to go to the Xenofresh Lab for shifts to make Aurora. After finishing one of the shifts in the lab, a character named Robie will give you the coordinates of a package with Aurora. You will need to deliver it to Yannick Legrande, in return for which he will give you a drug recipe.
Once you have the recipe for Aurora, you can produce it in any pharmaceutical laboratory station. However, you will need to have the resources listed below:
- Hallucinogens – 2
- Benzene – 1
- Stimulant – 1
- Chasmbass Oil – 1
Some players may have had trouble finding the last resource. Don’t worry, as it’s pretty easy to find. Simply head to the feast located below Xenofresh Fisheries in Neon City and shoot some Chasmbass fish. After that, jump into the water and collect Chasmbass Oil from them to be able to make Aurora.

How to Smuggle Aurora in Starfield
While the manufacture, purchase, and possession of Aurora in the city of Neon is legal, you cannot simply take the drug outside the city, as guards will always catch you. To bypass the Security Guard posts, head to the Ebbside district and take the stairs to the roof of Neon. There you will be able to walk to the edge, which is above the city’s port. Now you can simply jump over the guards without being noticed. We recommend using a boost to land safely from the roof to your ship.
