Fist fights are one of the ways to make the game more fun and diversify the usual set of weapons. So next, you will learn how to use fists in Starfield.

The game has several skills related to unarmed attack, namely: Boxing, Martial Arts and Neurostrikes. If you deal enough damage to your enemies with your fists, you will be able to level up all these skills and your unarmed attacks will become more lethal. Below, we will explain how to use your fists.

For this, you should do the following:

  1. Pick up any available weapon.
  2. Open the menu and go to your inventory.
  3. Unequip your weapon.

Unfortunately, there's no other way to use your fists quickly except by going to the menu, which is not that comfortable.

Starfield: Unarmed Attack Skills

There are 4 skills that you can level up with unarmed attacks:

Skill Name                        Rank 1 Rank 2            Rank 3            Rank 4
Boxing Unarmed attacks deal 25% more damage. Unarmed attacks deal 50% more damage. Unarmed attacks deal 75% more damage. Unarmed attacks deal 100% more damage and have a chance to knock opponents down.
Martial Arts Increases the chance to land a critical hit by 15%. The chance to disarm the enemy increases by 15%. Unarmed takes 10% less damage. Reflects 50% damage when blocking an unarmed attack.
Neurostrikes 10% chance to stun the enemy. Unarmed attacks deal electromagnetic damage. 20% chance to stun an enemy. Stunning one enemy will also knock down those standing nearby.

Now, below are listed how many specific actions you need to take to raise your level in a particular skill:

  • Boxing Kill: 20/50/100 enemies with an unarmed attack.
  • Martial Arts: Deal 250 damage with unarmed attacks for 2 rank. Disarm 10/30 enemies using melee or unarmed attacks.
  • Neurostrikes: Stun 10/30/75 enemies with an unarmed attack.
