Modern Warfare 2: How to Change the Language on PC, Xbox & PlayStation

Many fans of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 like to play the campaign with the original dubbing. However, in regions outside of America or the UK, you'll have to change the language manually, and we'll now tell you how to do that.

  • To get the original dubbing for the campaign missions and multiplayer announcements, you must change the language in Modern Warfare 2.
  • The procedures differ between PC and console.

Modern Warfare 2 - Change Language on PC, Xbox & PlayStation

MW2 Change language on PC (Battle.net)

  • Install and launch the Battle.net launcher.
  • Download Modern Warfare 2.
  • Open your game library and select Modern Warfare 2.
  • Click on the blue gear next to the "Play" button.
  • Select the "Game Settings" tab here.
  • A new window will open where you can change the language for Modern Warfare 2.

Change MW2 language on PC (Steam)

  • Install and start Steam.
  • Download Modern Warfare 2.
  • Open your Steam library and find the game.
  • Right click on the game and select "Properties".
  • Under the "Language" tab you can change the language.

Change MW2 language on PlayStation & Xbox

  • Start the game and open the options.
  • Select the "Interface" tab.
  • Under the Accessibility section, look for the "Language Selection" option.
  • Here you can change the language of Modern Warfare 2.
