In the new survival-sandbox hit Palworld, you are constantly on your way, whether to collect crafting materials, catch new Pals or simply to explore the game world. With the ability to fly, you can proceed even faster in Palworld.

In this guide, you will find out:

  • What level you need to fly.
  • How to craft a pal saddle for flying.
  • Which Pals you can fly early on in the game.
  • All pals you can fly with.

Unlock Flying in Palworld

Before you can even think about flying through the air with a Pal, you need to unlock the necessary technology so that you can equip your mount with a saddle. While the first saddle for a mount on the ground can already be produced at level 6, you need at least level 15 to craft a flying saddle. At this level, you can craft a saddle for the flying Pal Nitewing.

Palworld Nitewing Saddle

You can make your first flying saddle from level 15.

You will also need a workbench and certain crafting materials, both for the workbench itself and for the saddle.

Crafting materials for crafting a Pal Gear workbench

  • 10x Paldium fragments
  • 30x Wood
  • 2x cloth

As soon as the workbench is ready, you can unlock the various technologies for crafting saddles once you have reached the appropriate level.

How to Catch a Nitewing in Palworld

A Nitewing is one of the first Pals you can catch and use for flying. You can find Nitewings south of the Rayne Syndicate tower (coordinates 112, -435).

Palworld Nitewing Location

You can catch a Nitewing very early on in the game.

First fight the Nitewing to weaken it and then capture it with a Pal-Sphere. Once you have captured the flying pal, you will require a Nitewing saddle. You will need to craft this at your pal gear workbench, for which you will need some crafting resources:

  • 10x cloth
  • 20x leather
  • 15x metal ingots
  • 20x fibers
  • 20x paldium fragment

As soon as the saddle is ready and in your inventory, you can fly with the Nitewing. However, the Pal must not be in your inventory, but must be in your team, otherwise flying will not work. If you have done everything correctly, the option to ride should be displayed by pressing the F button. You can use this to swing yourself onto the Pal and take to the air.

These Pals are Suitable for Flying in Palworld

Nitewing is not the only pal with which you can fly through the open game world:

  • Maraith
  • Helzephyr
  • Shadowbeak
  • Quivern
  • Astegon
  • Elphidran
  • Quivern
  • Beakon
  • Ragnahawk
  • Vanwyrm und Vanwyrm Cryst
  • Suzaku und Suzaku Aqua
  • Jetragon

Depending on which Pal you use to fly, you can use different abilities such as air cannon.
