Palworld has launched, and many players are eager to start exploring the vast game world with their friends, aiming to catch all the Pals. This overview provides all the information you need about multiplayer, co-op, and dedicated community servers.
Multiplayer Options in Palworld:
If you want to play with a small group of friends, it makes sense to open a co-op lobby in Palworld. This way, you don't have to pay for a server, and you're not forced to play with strangers. For those who prefer playing with a larger group, we recommend renting a server. Here, you can set the maximum number of players, as well as performance and access rights.
To play together with your group of friends, you need to:
Yes, you can choose to join one of Palworld's official servers, or rent your dedicated server from various providers.
You can also host a Palworld server on your own PC, but this requires knowledge about SteamCMD, port forwarding, and server maintenance. Another issue with this method might be the electricity costs, as your PC needs to stay on continuously to offer uninterrupted gameplay.

Attention! When purchasing a rental server, avoid providers that run your Palworld server on an HDD. A Palworld server should always benefit from an SSD.
Who keeps the save state? When playing in co-op with your friends, only the host keeps the current save state. All other players have to wait until the host restarts the lobby.
The Guided editorial team has tested various multiplayer configurations. Currently, it's not possible to play Palworld across platforms. Console and PC remain on separate servers. Also, Game Pass owners on PC cannot play with Steam players. This is due to different versions, as there has already been a Day-One patch on Steam, which is still missing in the Xbox App.
That's everything you need to know about dedicated servers, multiplayer, and co-op in Palworld. We warmly invite you to join our Palworld Community Group on Facebook.
