In the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are so-called titan Pokémon. In this guide, we will not only explain what kind of Pokémon they are but also introduce you to the five new titan Pokémon.

What it’s about: Already since Pokémon Sun and Moon there are titan Pokémon. These are larger and stronger than the other Pokémon of the same species. We'll tell you what titan Pokémon are, where you can find the five in Scarlet and Violet, and what their weaknesses are.

What are Titan Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet?

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there is the so-called Path of Legends. This is one of three stories that can be undertaken as part of a treasure hunt. In this quest series, you collect Herba Mystica together with the character Arven. These Herba Mystica can be found among the titan Pokémon. These are much larger and stronger than other Pokémon of their kind and guard the Herba Mystica. In battles against these overpowering opponents, you can defeat them and thus obtain the coveted spices. Additionally, you can feed your Riding Pokémon these spices to unlock better abilities, such as gliding, higher jumping, or a Dash.

The titan Pokémon at a glance:

  • Klawf - Type Rock
  • Bombirdier - Type Flying & Dark
  • Orthworm - Type Steel
  • Iron Treads/Great Tusk - Type Ground & Steel / Ground & Fighting
  • Dondozo & Tatsugiri - Type Water & Type Dragon and Water

All Titan Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet

We have not only gathered the locations of the mighty Pokémon for you but also show you which Pokémon you will come across, how you can defeat them and which worthwhile rewards you will get. Before you start hunting, though, you should choose the right starter Pokémon. This choice can determine whether you'll be able to take on the titan Pokémon easily or with difficulty.

You can find the titan Pokémon in these locations:

You can find the titan Pokémon at these 5 locations.

Klawf: Stony Cliff Titan

Klawf is a giant rock-type crab with a number of weaknesses. When fighting Klawf, you will be supported by Arven with a level 16 Shellder. The fight should be very straightforward and easy for a titan Pokémon.

Location: The stony cliff is located southwest of the large lake.

Weakness:

  • Fighting
  • Grass
  • Ground
  • Steel
  • Water

Reward: Once you have defeated Klawf, you will receive a Herba Mystica, which you can give to your Riding Pokémon. This will unlock the Dash.

Bombirdier: Open Sky Titan

Bombirdier is a Pokémon that looks like a huge bird with massive wings. As you can imagine, Bombirdier is of the Flying-type. In addition, it is also of the Dark-type. Due to the two types, the weakness for attacks from Fighting-type and Bug-type are balanced and ineffective. Again, the fight should not take long. This time Arven supports you with a Nacli on level 19.

Location: Bombirdier can be found in the west of the Paldea region.

Weakness:

  • Electric
  • Ice
  • Rock
  • Fairy

Reward: Once you have defeated the Pokémon, you will receive a Herba Mystica, which you can give to your Riding Pokémon. This will unlock the ability to move across the water.

Orthworm: Lurking Steel Titan

Orthworm, as the name suggests, is a giant Steel-type worm. However, with the Earth Eater ability, all ground attacks are counterproductive because the Ground-type attack is absorbed as health. This would only strengthen Orthworm. Arven supports you in the fight with Toedscool at level 28.

Location: Orthworm is located in the east of Paldea.

Weakness:

  • Fighting
  • Fire

Reward: Once you have defeated Orthworm, you will receive a Herba Mystica, which you can give to your Riding Pokémon. This will allow your mount to jump higher.

Iron Treads/Great Tusk: Quaking Earth Titan

Here it depends on which version you have. In Scarlet, you will meet Great Tusk of the Ground-type and Fighting-type. In the fight against Great Tusk, a flying Pokémon is especially recommended. In Violet, on the other hand, you will encounter Iron Threads of the Ground- and Steel-type. Scovillain at level 44 is sent into battle by Arven this time.

Location: One of the titan Pokémon of the quaking earth can be found in the very east of the map.

Weakness (Iron Threads):

  • Fighting
  • Ground
  • Fire
  • Water

Weakness (Great Tusk):

  • Water
  • Grass
  • Fairy
  • Flying
  • Psychic

Reward: Once you have defeated Iron Threads or Great Tusk, you will receive a Herba Mystica that you can give to your Riding Pokémon. This allows your Riding Pokémon to glide over cliffs.

Dondozo & Tatsugiri: False Dragon Titan

First you fight Dondozo, which of course is not a Dragon Pokémon. Instead, this one is Water-type. Therefore, Pokémon of the Grass-type or Electric-type are very effective. After the battle, a Tatsugiri of Water- and Dragon-type appears. A Fairy-type Pokémon would be especially effective at this point. You will also be supported by Arven and a level 55 Greedent.

Location: The False Dragon Pokémon can be found in the northeast of the Paldea region.

Weakness (Dondozo):

  • Grass
  • Electric

Weakness (Tatsugiri):

  • Dragon
  • Fairy

Reward: Once you have defeated the Pokémon, you will receive a Herba Mystica, which you can give to your Mount Pokémon. This allows your mount to climb cliffs.
