In Raft there are many different crafting materials, one of the most important of which is Explosive Powder, which you need for the net launcher and its ammunition, the net canister. We'll show you how to get this valuable resource.

What's it about? You can't just find explosive powder, you have to make it. But for that, you need advanced weapons and staying power. Among other things, you need the powder for the net launcher and the ammunition with which you can catch live animals.

Make Explosive Powder from Goo instead of finding it -- Here's how.

Get raw material Explosive Goo: To make Exploisve Powder in Raft, you need another raw material that the powder is based on. It's called Explosive Goo, and you'll have to fight for it. If you get close to islands, you can go diving in the waters near the coast. Here you will find yellow and spiny Poison Puffer Fish.

The puffer fish are aggressive and will attack you on sight. The best way to kill the yellow balls is with a bow and arrow, which also works underwater. This way you don't have to get close to the fish and can't hurt yourself. But be careful: first you should get rid of the shark that follows your raft around the clock. Once you get rid of the fish, you should now get some sticky Explosive Goo.

This is the little Yellow Enemy that you have to take the Goo from.

How to make Explosive Powder: To craft powder from the Goo now, you need a Smelter. You can research this with boards, scrap, nails and a dry brick in the research table. The Smelter is built as follows:

  • 4x boards
  • 6x dry bricks
    • Craft wet bricks (Wet Brick) and let them dry on your deck for 5 minutes
  • 4x scrap metal
  • 6x nails

Then place the furnace on your raft and add boards and your Explosive Goo. After a short wait you should now have Explosive Powder, which you will need for Fireworks and Net Launcher Ammo: Raft: How to Make the Net Launcher & Net Canister to Catch Animals
