Sons of the Forest: How to get the Rifle

To find the hunting rifle, you must venture into a cave that requires several dives. Thus, you'll need the diving gear to avoid drowning.

Once you have all the necessary items and are ready to venture, head to the large lake located in the western part of the map. Upon arrival, you can use your GPS tracker or the screenshot above to locate the cave by the lake. Inside, use a flashlight or a torch to navigate and progress. As you move through the cave, you will come across a pond that you must swim across using the diving gear. Avoid the corpses and bones in the pond until you reach the shore. Continue forward – watch out for enemies waiting for you.

At the fork, turn right into the lit area and keep going straight until you find the corpse next to which the hunting rifle is located. Pick it up and retrace your steps to exit. Now you have obtained the hunting rifle and some ammunition. Return regularly to the cave to collect respawned ammunition.
