Sons of the Forest has received a new update, which, among other things, brings a para glider or hang glider into the game. This guide will show you where you can find the hang glider location and how to use it, which can be tricky.
What can this thing do? The hang glider in Sons of the Forest was introduced with the update on March 09. You can find it on the mountain – we’ll show you where in a moment. If used correctly, the glider can transport you across the 9,00 km² map (pinned below is the video guide).

Sons of The Forest Hang Glider Location – Where to Find it
Where you must search: The hang glider location in Sons of the Forest is on the high mountain in the middle of the map. More precisely, you can find the glider at the southern end of the mountain, near a cave entrance. The glider is located by a camp of two orange tents – you can’t miss it. We’ve marked the location on the map below. Go to the marked spot on the map, here, you will also find some boxes with loot.
How to Start Your Flight & Control the Hang Glider in Sons of the Forest
To take off with your hang glider, you should look for a steep slope. If your launch point is too flat, your character will let go of the glider directly, and you will fall on your digital nose. Also, you can’t pack the glider, you always have to park it at an elevated position. Fly the glider to your base, preferably building a high tower with a small runway. Lead a rope or stairs to the top, so you can always take off and land here.
How to control the hang glider: If you fall from a slope, keep the space bar pressed. Your glider will bend a bit, but don’t panic; it will usually stabilize itself. Then you steer via W, A, S, D, whereby W and S are assigned by default for flying up and down – clear. A dive speeds up your flight, and pulling up slows you down. However, it never happened to us that the hang glider crashed.
