The third update for Sons of the Forest had some surprises for every player who loves this survival game. While the game was already full of different materials and items, the newest update brought even more stuff to the game, including Night Vision Goggles.

There are two locations where the Night Vision Goggles can be found. Both are in the south of the game world. Despite being close to each other, each area is unique. Just continue reading the guide and learn more about each location.
The first location: It is the exit to the new gold cave added in the previous update; inside the cave with a dead skeleton sitting on a chair. It is an accessible area, and the only issue here is breaking the entrance to the cave.

Once you are here, enter the cave and carefully look for the skeleton. Just on its head, you can find the Night Vision Goggles. Just take them off and feel free to use them as you need.
If the first location doesn’t suit you, finding the Night Vision Goggles in the Gold Armor cave is an alternative option. The area is northern from the first spawn point. So, there will be no problems getting here. Still, this location is considered slightly more complex.

Location #2: it requires you to have a Rebreather. It provides oxygen under the water, which is essential to get deep inside the cave.
Equip the Rebreather, and feel free to get inside the cave. There is an underwater tunnel just near the entrance. Dive inside it and then find a path leading to the water pool. Swim to the nearby cavern ahead and then turn right.
You will find a dead body wearing the Night Vision Goggles here. Take them up from the corpse. Then, feel free to get out of the cave using the same route. There are no enemies inside the cave, and doing it is 100% safe.

To use the Night Vision Goggles, head to the top right corner of your inventory. This specialized tool is located and can be equipped right here.
The Night Vision Goggles allow you to distinguish objects even at a long distance, making the world in shades of green. It might be helpful when you go deep inside the cave or wander the world at night.
