Here you can Find the Crossbow in Sons of the Forest
You can get the crossbow near the shotgun, northwest of the mountain, but not quite as far up. You also need the red key card for the bolt gun. The crossbow is hidden in a laboratory and can only be accessed with the maintenance card. Go to the location marked below on the map to find the entrance to the cave that will lead you into the lab.
Once you squeeze through the narrow opening into the cave, all you have to do is follow the passage deeper into the earth until you eventually come to a ladder leading down. Climb down and you will come to a room with a locked laboratory door.
Use the key card, and you will come to a room with several shelves filled with plants. Behind them is a second plant room, where a corpse lies on the floor between the shelves. There you will also find the crossbow.
Of course, collecting the crossbow is not a Sunday stroll. There are numerous enemies in the plant rooms that will block your way to the loot. The best way to eliminate them is with a few Molotov cocktails, and the way is clear.
That’s why it’s worth getting the crossbow. As already mentioned, the crossbow is not one of the absolute top weapons in Sons of the Forest. However, it is by no means a bad weapon. Even though pistols and shotguns perform better in direct comparison, the crossbow convinces with high penetrating power and solid damage. The biggest disadvantage is the long reload time. However, it is comparatively easy to get hold of and is not overly guarded.
