BG3: What to Do with Fezzerk and the Goblins in Moonrise Towers

Goblins in Moonrise Towers in Baldur's Gate 3

Before you encounter this event, you will need to get to Moonrise Towers. This is not a difficult task, as you will get there during the progression of the plot to complete several quests and continue your journey.

Whatever the purpose of your arrival to Moonrise Towers, you will meet Disciple Z'rell, who will ask you to decide the fate of the goblins, as she is unable to do so for personal reasons, citing the "Old days." This is a rather complicated decision, and you will have 3 options, namely:

  • Force them to commit suicide: You will then see a scene in which Fezzerk and the other goblins stab themselves in the chest. This will demonstrate your ruthlessness and further arouse the hatred of this race towards you. Your companions will disapprove this decision.
  • Kill them: If you choose this option, you can kill them yourself by starting a fight with the goblins, or by saying "BEG! CHOKE! DIE!" and strangling them with magic. This expresses your power and cruelty, and as with the previous option, your companions will disapprove this decision.
  • Let them go: If you let the goblins go, they will be grateful and happy and your companions will approve this.

This article is inaccurate and lacking significant details. Truly a disappointing article. It didn't tell me anything I was looking to learn and had even less info on it than the wiki.

- if you release the goblins, not all of your companions will approve (Astarion).

- killing the goblins will break your oath if you're a paladin.

- if you saved Sazza from the Emerald Grove prison and she lived through Act 1, she will be the goblin speaking here and will talk about you being old friends.

I wanted to know the consequences of freeing the goblins when you talk to Z'rell or other characters later. The vague "consequences for you and the story " is utterly unhelpful.
