In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are 15 Skyview Towers, including the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower. It's important to activate them, as this unlocks the area around the tower on the map. This guide will show you how to activate the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.

That's why you should activate the Skyview Towers in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: By activating a Skyview Tower, you can unlock the map around the tower's area, allowing you to see the terrain. In addition, Skyview Towers support Fast Travel and, due to their height, also provide a good viewing platform from which you can examine the area with your aiming tube to find shrines, for example.

How to Activate the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower in Zelda

When you arrive at the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, you are able to go inside, but Billson tells you that the tower's terminal isn't working, which is why it can't be activated. You must climb to the tower's top to see what is blocking the terminal.

Build an Elevator Out of A Platform and Some Rockets

Of course, you can climb up the tower, but it will take some time, so we will show you another method here instead. Climb up to where the rope starts and then onto the ledge.

Now turn around so that you see the big gray floating platform and move it down. Important: you can't control this platform from below, only from above or the side! Then attach the two rockets that were on the platform vertically to it.

Afterward, go to the platform and hit the rockets to launch them. This improvised “elevator” will take you high above the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, so you'll have to use your Paraglider to fly down to the platform on top of the Tower.

Next, jump from the platform to the tower's roof and move it from the bottom far enough to the side. Now you have to climb down the tower and talk to Billson, after which the terminal will work again. Activate the tower as usual, allowing you to unlock the map.

Move the platform off the tower's roof to make the terminal work again.
