Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: How to get the Flamebreaker Armor Set

You can buy all three pieces of the Flamebreaker Armor Set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom from a merchant for a large chunk of rupees. However, there is also a way you can get the chest armor for free entirely.

Here's the deal: Once your journey takes you to the Death Mountain area, you'll need permanent heat protection. Of course, you can make a huge supply of heat protection dishes and fireproof elixirs. However, it makes more sense to grab the Flamebreaker armor set.

This consists of three parts. You can buy the helmet, trousers, and chest armor from the armor shopin Goron City. For permanent heat protection, even inside Death Mountain, just two pieces of this set are enough.

However, there is also a way to get the Flamebreaker Armor for free. This breastplate is already enough to protect you from heat in most areas around Death Mountain.

How to get the Flamebreaker Armor in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Head to the southern mines. Start in Goron City and find an NPC there named Kima. Talk to him and he will ask you to bring him ten fireproof lizards. You can find these reptiles everywhere in the southern mines.

To catch them, you'll have to sneak up carefully. Catching ten of these little animals shouldn't take too long. Take the lizards to Kima and he will give you the Flamebreaker Armor.

Now you just have to buy one of the other two pieces from the merchant to be one hundred percent protected from heat. However, both parts are not cheap. The merchant will charge you 1,200 rupees for the boots. The helmet costs a whopping 1,400 rupees.
