The Makasura Shrine is one of over 150 shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that you'll find throughout the open world. This guide will show you how to master it and grab all the chests inside.
What it's about: The shrines in the new Zelda can sometimes be tricky and present you with serious challenges. Especially, reaching all the chests in the small mini-dungeons can sometimes take a long time. That's why we'll show you in this guide how to get through the Makasura Shrine quickly and take all the chests with you.
The Makasura Shrine can be found in the southeast of Inner Hyrule.
If you don’t know exactly where to start looking, check out our interactive map or the guide to the locations of all shrines. If you are looking for a specific shrine, you can easily find it and other helpful guides in our sorted guide overview. |
First, you have to jump to the first platform with the Ascend-Skill. At the top, you'll find an L-shaped construction at the top with a kind of sphere attached to the bottom. You have to turn this construction 180 degrees with the Ultrahand skill so that the sphere lies at the edge of the abyss. If the platform is the right way up, you'll have to stand on its back end and shoot an arrow from there into the eye of the sphere. This will trigger a mechanism that will launch you high into the air. Activate your glider in the air and fly to the next platform.
On the second platform, you will find another L-construct that will hurl you into the air similarly. Align it with your Ultrahand, so the mechanism hurls you towards the high grate and fly over it with your glider. On the other side of the bars, you'll have to use the Ultrahand skill to connect the two objects and then rotate them so that you can be thrown onto the wall to the first and only chest. Fairy water awaits you, which you can use to replenish five hearts.
Before you take the way back over the grate, use the slingshot mechanism to shoot the ball that lies just behind the bars to the other side. It will automatically roll into the recess on the other side, opening the grate behind it.
There lies a platform, which you can stick to the L-platform you used for your first jump over the grate, using Ultrahand to increase the lever.
This will throw you high enough to glide to the exit.
