The Phantom Armor of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is one of 37 armor sets. This guide will show you how to get hold of the protective clothing for attackers.

What it's about: The Phantom Armor of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom natively offers pretty good protection from enemy attacks with nine armor points per piece. On top of that, there is a set bonus that significantly improves the attack strength, making the dark protective clothing very worthwhile.

However, it's not easy to get them; you can't buy the individual parts off the shelf. Therefore, this guide will tell you how to get the entire Phantom armor set.

Chestpiece:

First, travel to the northeastern edge of the Grudo Highlands; it lies southwest of the Hyrule Mountains. There, you'll be interested in the Tamio River Downstream Cave at coordinates -2907, -0777, 0010. Enter the cave (you can ignore most enemies) and keep left until you reach a large vault with three tunnels. Here, walk into the middle of the tunnels and look for a pile of rubble in the rock wall on the right.

In this place you will find the breastplate of the Phantom set.

What follows you probably already know: Connect an arrow with a bomb flower to get an explosive arrow. Fire it at the pile of stones to clear the way. Now walk up the tunnel in front of you to the shrine. The chest piece of the Phantom Armor is in the treasure chest in front of it.

Helmet:

To get the helmet of the Phantom set, head to the Buffer Beach in the south-central part of the map. You'll find it a bit south of Lake Hylia. At coordinates 0282, -3840, 0003 look up, there is a large vertical passage. You have to get in there, but how can you do that?

The spot where the phantom helmet is hidden is not easy to reach.

Now, lift the large rock up in the air with your Ultra hand and hold it for a moment. Then drop it again and apply time reversal so that the rock hovers in the air for a moment. Use this moment to slip through the rock by using Ascend. Standing on the rock, quickly look up and use Ascend again to get through the rock mass above you.

You are now in an overhanging cave with the next shrine to the north. Interact with the treasure chest there again and you'll be holding the Phantom Set Helmet.

Pants:

Now, in order to complete the Phantom Set, you'll have to head out into the desert and indulge in a (usually) harebrained idea. But first, the location: travel to the eastern edge of the Gerudo Desert in the south of the world map. Zoom in on it very close until a larger group of sand eddies (quicksand) becomes visible. One of them interests you in particular, and it's the whirlpool marked in green in the screenshot below.

Well, and guess what? That's right, you have to jump in. After all, this questionable idea is immediately rewarded with a shrine or treasure chest containing the Phantom Armor pants. With that, your set is complete.
