Our guide to the Soryotanog Shrine will show you how to successfully pass it in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, collecting all the chests along the way.
What this guide is about: In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, shrines are like small dungeons, and by completing them you'll get valuable loot and abilities. Also, you can use already completed shrines for fast travel, which lets you travel between areas much faster. In total, you can expect to find about 150 shrines in TotK's game world.
If you don't know exactly where to start looking, check out our interactive map or the guide to the locations of all shrines. If you are looking for a specific shrine, you can easily find it, as well as other helpful guides, in our sorted guide overview. |
The Soryotanog Shrine is located in Gerudo, more precisely in the Gerudo Desert next to the North Gerudo Ruins and the Desert Rift. Its exact location coordinates are as follows:
Below you will find the nearest Skyview Tower, Temple, or Shrines to which, if you have already unlocked them, you can use fast travel to make it easier to get to Soryotanog Shrine.
When you enter the Soryotanog Shrine, you will see a locked door and four piles of sand. In one of the piles of sand is a fan, which you can pull out of it. By hitting it, you can turn it on and hold it on the individual piles of sand one after the other, which will be blown away. In one of the sand piles you will also find a chest from which you can get the key for the locked door that you can now open.
In the second room, there is an attacker already waiting for you, which you have to defeat first. Then get the fan from the previous room and get rid of the sand piles in this room as well to uncover the mirrors you will need later. Then run to the indentation to the left of the grate and use Ascend to get to its roof.
Jump down into the room and get the blower that is behind the sand pile next to the grate and blow the sand away again. Under one of the piles of sand was a lamp, which now shines brightly again. With the mirror that you get in this room from a pile of sand, you now guide the light through the bars into the other room.
Through the indentation in this room you can get back to its roof with “Ascend” and from there back to the previous room. Take the mirror of this room and redirect the light to the hexagon above the door to the exit. It will take a short moment, then the hexagon will turn green, and the door will open, allowing you to exit and successfully complete the shrine.
