Our Zelda Tears of the Kingdom guide is about the Gemimik shrine and how you can solve it with confidence. We will show you all the chests that you can find in this shrine.
What this guide is about: In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, shrines are like small dungeons, and by completing them you’ll get valuable loot and abilities. Also, you can use already completed shrines for fast travel, which lets you travel between areas much faster. In total, you can expect to find about 150 shrines in TotK’s game world.
If you don’t know exactly where to start looking, check out our interactive map or the guide to the locations of all shrines. If you are looking for a specific shrine, you can easily find it, as well as other helpful guides, in our sorted guide overview. |

How to Master the Gemimik Shrine in Zelda: TotK
After entering the Gemimik Shrine, you will find yourself in a room where there are several columns in a circle, as well as a staircase that apparently leads to nowhere.
Repair the Propeller and Get the Chest
On the right side of the room, before the stairs, you will find a propeller. You need to fix it on the support that is in the middle of the circle of columns. Then take the plate that is “hiding” at the back left of the room and place it as a connection on the two current conduction points, which will make the propeller start spinning.
Now run up the stairs and jump with your glider into the updraft caused by the propeller. Turn around and fly to the plateau on which the chest is located and loot it. The plateau of the chest is on the left side behind the stairs.
Open the Exit and Complete the Gemimik Shrine
Glide back from the chest’s plateau into the updraft of the propeller, and from its apex, glide to the plateau opposite the chest, on which there are one active and two inactive fire spouts. Knock out the active fire spout with a hit and then throw all three down from the plateau to the ground. Then let yourself glide back to the ground and take the plate that acted as a ladder from this position and attach the heads to the long side of the plate, evenly spaced side by side. Activate them by hitting them and lighting all the columns of the circle. You have to be quick while doing this because water extinguishes them at regular intervals. Only when you’ve managed to get all the pillars burning at the same time will the gate to the exit open, which means you’ve successfully completed the shrine and can now select it as a quick travel point.
