Of course, you can maintain hygiene by inflicting the Wet condition on your character, but this method is much more complicated. Unlike in previous patches, the recent update makes it much easier to clean up your character. While previously you would have needed to wade through deep water, cast the Create Water spell, or pour a bottle of water on your character to inflict the Wet condition, you can now quickly remove filth with Soap or Sponge. This way you can remove blood, dirt, face paint, and conditions that make you smell, so let's talk more about each of these items.
When we first found Soap, it took us a while to figure out how to use it, and that's because it has a rather strange mechanic. To make your character clean as a whistle, you need to follow these steps:
Alternatively to Soap, another way to wash your character that was introduced in the new patch is Sponge. Fortunately, this item is much easier to use, as all you need to clean yourself up is to consume Sponge in your inventory.
