The developers behind the role-playing game Kingdom Come Deliverance, Warhorse Studios, are teasing a new game on social media. The teaser doesn't reveal much, but an official announcement is coming in 7 days.
Highlights:
The developers behind the successful role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios, have taken to Twitter to release a teaser showcasing their new game. According to the post, the official announcement will take place next Thursday, April 18, at 8:00 PM CEST.
The image doesn't show much; it only shows a man on a horse. But a closer look suggests it can't be set in the Middle Ages, the era of the first game. Kingdom Come is set in 1403 in the Kingdom of Bohemia, part of the Holy Roman Empire at that time. If Warhorse's new game is indeed the second installment, as many fans hope, KCD2 would be set many centuries later.
The man's clothing in the image—a black buttoned coat, black leather gloves, and black fabric or denim pants—suggests the 19th century, about 400 years after the first game. If the pants are indeed denim, it might even be set at the end of the 19th century or early 20th century, a time ranging from 1873 (the invention of jeans) to the early 1900s.
Comparing the clothing style loosely with real styles from the early 20th century, the man could even be a World War I soldier, which occurred from 1914 to 1918.
We'll probably know for sure on April 18th. Until then, you can check out what has been leaked about Kingdom Come 2 so far.
Let us know in the comments what you think the game is about and what time period it might be set in.
